Hayley Potter is an Illustrator, Writer & Lecturer. She was born and raised in Kent - ‘The Garden of England’. Hayley’s work has evolved from a fascination and passion for creating, investigating and writing about magical and fictional worlds and characters. Hayley studied Fine Art at The Kent Institute of Art & Design, Illustration at Falmouth College of Arts and Norwich School of Art & Design, and completed her education by graduating from The Royal College of Art in 2007 with a Masters Degree in Communication Art & Design.
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, Hayley has continued to live in London. Choosing to move to the leafiest part of London she could find – so that walking in the woods, being surrounded by wildlife, and visiting enchanting gardens remains an important part of her creative process. She is also a member of London Zoo – where she spends many hours drawing and photographing the animals.
Hayley has a studio in South West London, where she works on various commissions and Authorial projects. She has exhibited as a solo artist and in group shows around London.
