Sidney Chambers studied graphic design and life drawing at Maidstone college of Art, before embarking on a career in advertising.
Today Sidney is an artist who works with a range of media, from drawing and painting to photography, litho and screen printing. He is possibly best known for his meticulously detailed aviation paintings, six of which were reproduced as limited edition prints for the Imperial War Museum in 1994.
Sidney's work is based entirely on observation; People, animals, objects both manmade and natural that possess an attraction, a uniqueness, an emotional attachment. He seeks out objects that have a nostalgic or historical element, which cause one to pause just for a moment and think. |
